BENTON, Ark. (KTHV) -- Benton police are reporting Katelyn North, who disappeared around 3:30 pm Monday, has returned "safe and unharmed."

The 17-year-old's disappearance was reported shortly after the body of Angela Allen, another teenager who'd run away from home, was found by investigators.

The Benton City Council Agenda Meeting will be held at 6:30 P.M. The fashion event will star the high fashion runway models, of all ages and sizes, from Campbell's Oneofakind Talent Inc. modeling agency and past Little Rock Fashion Week presentations. They'll wear clothes from Belk, David's Bridal, Dillard's, Men's Wearhouse, and Reba's Formal Wear.
This will be the second ADG bridal fashion show that Campbell is involved in, featuring OTI and LRFW models, in a month. On January 15th, the ADG Bridal Fashion Show in Little Rock featured models from OTI and LRFW. Campbell served as co-producer and model booker.

BENTON, Ark. (KTHV) - A Benton man is in custody for allegedly abusing a three-month-old baby.

Benton police took the report Monday Feb. 20. Police say a three-month-old baby had been taken to a local hospital suffering from a broken leg and cracked ribs.

Police arrested
...more Christopher Williams, 30, and charged him with endangering the welfare of a minor and first degree battery. Police say Williams knew the baby and it was not a case of a stranger harming the child.

Williams was transported to the Saline County Detention Facility.

Jesse and Casey Clark are newlyweds.

"We went on a blind date. One of the few blind dates that actually work," they say. Married in October, they just moved into their new home in Bryant.

Casey is a dental hygienist and Jesse is a realtor and Little Rock firefighter.

"We'd always grill chicken or goat. I mean, that was basically what you had over there," says Jesse. Over there in Iraq where he was deployed with the 3rd battalion, 23rd marines in 2006.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- A proposal to cut three percent of the Governor's budget.

The GOP counter-budget would cut three percent, or $21 million, of the Governor Mike Beebe's $4.7 billion state budget.

The Governor reviewed the proposed cuts and asked state agencies to do

Those agencies came back stating the cuts will lead to reductions in services and personnel.

But Republican lawmakers say that may not happen at all...setting the stage for a battle of the budget.

The Heart Gallery of Pulaski County will display photos/profiles of children in need of adoption all day Friday and Saturday, March 2 and 3 at Herzfeld Library in Benton and Friday and Saturday, March 9 and 10 at Boswell Library in Bryant. The display will be open for viewing in the meeting

The mission of the Heart Gallery of Pulaski County and Heart Galleries across the state is to introduce waiting children to prospective adoptive families and to familiarize potential families with the concept of adopting older children, sibling groups and/or children with special needs. A new statewide initiative called Project Zero will utilize the Heart Gallery as one of several ways to raise awareness of the need for adoptive families, to build relationships with waiting children and ultimately help connect children with their forever families.

The Saline County Library will host a scavenger hunt March 1-23 at both library locations in celebration of “The Hunger Games” book trilogy and March 23 movie release.
Intended for ages 13 and older, participation in the scavenger hunt is open to anyone who has read at least the first book.

“The Beat Goes On” 5K Run/Walk, sponsored by Saline Memorial Foundation and SMH Heart and Vascular Services, will be 9 a.m. Saturday at Saline Memorial Hospital in Benton.
The 5K is a fundraiser for the Health Foundation Cardiac Assistance Fund, which supports cardiac care in Saline County.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- Logan Parker, 21 of Bryant, was killed after crossing I-630 near Chester Street late Saturday night.

According to an Arkansas State Police crash report, Parker was crossing the interstate north to south around 11:30 when he was hit by three vehicles.

None of the drivers of the other cars were hurt.
